A Kreativ Blogger in the Central Andes

I’m so excited to announce that I’ve received my first blogging award! Thank you so much to my very good friend, Hajra Khatoon. She’s one of my favorite bloggers; catch her candid sense of humor at Hajra Kvetches — one of my absolute favorite blogs! =)

Premio de Kreativ Blogger

I'm now officially a Kreativ Blogger!

There are only two conditions to this award:
  • I need to pass the award on to 10 other worthy recipients and let them know. (It’ll be challenging to choose only ten, but I know I’ll eventually acknowledge the rest of you somehow!)
  • I also need to share 10 facts about myself that you may not know about me.
Eleven More Kreativ Bloggers You Should Meet

It was supposed to be ten, but I published too soon (and am secretly glad that I could slip in another favorite blogger)! =)

  1. Sherry Zander @ Writing 4 Effect — Sherry is one of my writing mentors and she’s been with me since the beginning. I love how she slips in commentaries on news pieces and blips about life amidst her writing tips.
  2. Rowena Bolo @ RowenaBolo.com — In less than a year, Rowena has established herself as a top-notch online marketer. I’m motivated by her drive, success and warm personality.
  3. Diana Simon @ DianaSimon.com — Diana is the epitome of generosity. I’m coached through her blog, which is filled with blogging tips based on her own experiences and growth.
  4. Caitlin VB @ Ubiquitous Non Sequitur — Caitlin is the first person who really encouraged me to follow my dreams to Peru. She followed hers to 40 acres of North Carolina where she’s building a self-sustainable life.
  5. Deeone Higgs @ The Kingskidd Report — Deeone has inspired me with his warmth and his zest for life. I replenish my inspiration jar by reading his blog posts.
  6. Maureen Hunter @ Esdeer — Maureen exudes motherly care. Her personality is fit for her career as a grief steps coach and I strive to interact with others with the same genuine approach that she has.
  7. Jennifer Puckett @ Jenz Virtual Office — Jen is one of the most energetic people I know! Her site is full of pizazz and I feed off of her energy as a bubbly virtual assistant.
  8. Kelly Cannon de Borda @ My Life in Peru — As a veteran expat, Kelly is one of my go-to people in Peru. Her blog documents her experiences and she shares the most delicious Peruvian recipes to boot.
  9. Chris Richardson @ The Aussie Nomad — Chris is one of the first travel bloggers I connected with. Who would believe that he would leave his comfortable life in Australia to country hop around the world!
  10. Dayle Fraschilla @ I Shall Be a Toad — Dayle is one of my newest friends and I clicked with her kindness right away. She’s a natural writer and all-around creative idea generator at par with her idol, Dr. Seuss.
  11. Gonzalo Suárez @ Dichos y Bichos — Gonzalo is the first person I know to have started a blog challenge for Spanish blogs. You can access his articles with the nifty translation tool he has installed on his site

Ten Snippets About This Kreativ Blogger

Una Parada de Manos en el Antiguo Campo de Tiro

I practice acrobatics as a secret hobby. I'm horrible at it, but I train whenever I can at the old shooting range.

  1. I’m an aspiring acrobat. I can do a mean bridge and fold my body in half, but being flexible doesn’t mean that I can do cool tricks. I’m currently working on staying up in a handstand and accomplishing a clean backflip.
  2. I still can’t cook. The year I lived on my own in Japan, my regular diet involved spam, brown rice, instant noodles, strawberry ice cream bars and Kraft Mac & Cheese.
  3. I’m always told that my face never changes. People from my past can often recognize me even if the last time they saw me was when I was the child.
  4. The first time I attended preschool, I didn’t speak English. I got by with the words I knew from Sesame Street. My parents were immigrants and we only spoke Chinese at home.
  5. I speak a dialect of Chinese that’s unique to the Philippines; it’s a hybrid of Filipino and the Fujian dialect spoken in Taiwan. It has the same grammar and characters as Cantonese and Mandarin, but I can’t understand a word of the other Chinese dialects.
  6. I used to hate cats until we brought Fénix home this past February.
  7. I get canker sores often. I think it’s because there’s not a lot of space in my mouth. I only get them when I accidentally bite the inside of my cheek or lip while I’m eating.
  8. Everyone in my family and from my life before Grade 5 call me “Santy.” My parents didn’t want my nickname to be “Sam” because my dad’s name is Sam too. We would often get mixed up when people called our house and asked for “Sam.”
  9. I’m a tomboy and a daddy’s girl through and through. Maybe it’s the “Sam” connection.
  10. When I graduated from university, I won a Master’s award in neuroscience at the same time that I was chosen for an internship to come to Peru. It was a fork in the road and a turning point in my life. As Robert Frost once said, “I took [the road] less travelled by, and that has made all the difference.”

I would love to learn one thing about you that I didn’t know before or share your link of personal facts and I’ll see if I can relate somehow!

My recent post I promise I did NOT bribe Hajra!

  2. I so enjoy reading these posts, and you have such an amazing top 10 about me things to share. all very interesting and very fresh!
I love the acrobatic photo of yours, nicely taken. Even I can't cook, just basic stuff to keep me alive. No wonder I always have people around me who know how to cook delicious food. For a foodie, thats a shame (not to cook!)

Totally loved your article, will check your fav bloggers soon!
My recent post AS KREATIV AS I CAN BE!

    • Haha! Thanks, Hajra! Interestingly enough, I was just about to fall over when the handstand shot was taken, so it was a good shot indeed! =)

Omg! I totally know what you mean! I feel like a foodie in the sense that I like to eat and fine dine, and I also feel like it means that I should be able to cook. I bet we would appreciate food even more if we knew how to cook eh? =)

Thanks again for granting me my very first blogging award, Hajra! =)

  3. Hi Sam :-)

I so like this whole idea of Kreativ Blogger Award, and I can't thank you enough for including me on your list of 10 bloggers (I know you had a hard time choosing given the fact that you have such a huge network!)…Can you also tell me who is the brilliant mind behind this Kreativ Blogger Award?

Sam, I enjoyed reading ten things that most people don't know about you. It makes me smile knowing the fact that you've experienced different cultures, and that you have had so many interests growing up, while successfully preparing yourself towards the world of research and academia. You are such an admirable lady – a multi-passionate woman indeed (a nerd who loves fun hehe)… I so love your zest for life, Sam!

I am honored to be your friend, and I can't wait to see you flourish in all your endeavors!

    Love and hugs,
    Rowena
p.s. Master's award in neuroscience?! – oh my goodness, I bow to you! ;-)
My recent post Are You Fearful of Sharing Your Greatness – Why or Why Not Pt 1

    • Funny you should ask, Rowena! I had no idea who started this award, but a friend recently sent me a link with more information: http://careann.wordpress.com/2009/09/14/kreativ-b

It's such a great idea, isn't it? =) It builds community both in the sense that we pass the award along and share more personal information about ourselves. I don't know why I didn't think of doing something similar for my "About Me" page sooner! =)

Haha! I loved your description of me as a nerd who loves fun! It's so true! =) Love continually getting to know you better too, Rowena, and feeding off of *your* zest for live! =)

      Warm hugs back!

      Sam

  4. Wow Sam! I feel closer and closer to you with each blog post. Congrats on the award. It is well deserved. As is all your other success!

    • Aw, I'm so glad, Val! =) I was hoping that this blog post would help people feel closer to me. Looking forward to getting to know *you* better through time too, Val! =) Hugs!

  5. Hey 'Sam"… great facts.. I love hearing and learning about other people. These little tiny bits of info really give you an insight into peoples lives.

I wrote a post that gleaned a lot of attention a while back. MY history is not quite as studious as y ours… but here's the link. http://jaynekopp.com/2011/03/30/building-relation… it was really enjoyable and people appreciate the opportunity.

I loved reading your post so couldn't help but pop over! Talk soon my fellow Vancouverite!
My recent post Affiliate Marketing &amp Two Terrific Online Marketing Courses

    • Same here, Jayne! I always click on others' "About" pages to learn more about them. =)

Wow! Thank you *so* much for sharing your link! You know, it seems that you created a Kreativ-blogger community too, by asking others to make similar posts! Did you get a lot of hits? =)

I found that I could relate to so much on your list, Jayne! I'm going to head over right now to comment!

Can't wait for the 2011 version of Jayne trivia! =)

  6. Leanne Chesser

It was very interesting to read the little-known facts about you! You can read my about page to learn a few things about me.
My recent post The Meaning of Synergy

    • Thanks so much for stopping by, Leanne! Just headed over to your "About" page and loved learning more about you too. =) Isn't it amazing how personal tidbits really help strengthen a connection? =)

I absolutely cannot imagining you swearing at all! That was the funniest tidbit ever. =)

  7. Great post! I loved reading your list of 10 things about you. When I came to the end, I found myself in disbelief that I had already read 10 as it was an enjoyable read. How about 10 more? :-)
My recent post Teacher Appreciation National Teachers Day And What Makes A Teacher Great A Special Note To Homeschoolers

    • Haha! =) That actually may be a good idea! I've been thinking about revamping my "About Me" page on the website and was wondering what to put in there. =P It took a lot of brainstorming for these 10 though, so another 10 is going to take a while. =)

Thanks so much for stopping by, Tere! Looking forward to learning more and more about you too. =)

  8. Hey Sam, lovely read and so love the fact that you took the road that is less travelled and it made a difference.

I'm surprised you are singled out as having a face that doesn't change. I think most chinese and japanese have faces that dont change :) May be wrong.

I really enjoy getting to know you.

    Cheers Sam!
    Tosin
My recent post Facebook Notes- How to Generate Leads Using Facebook Notes

    • Thanks so much, Tosin! =) That's so funny that you mention Asian faces typically not changing. Maybe you're right or it could be the cultural face recognition phenomenon where we usually think others in another culture look very similar, even to each other. =)

Looking forward to getting to know you more too, Tosin! =)

  9. Hi Sam! I loved reading your little-known facts. And congratulations on your blogging award. I remember how excited I was to get a stylish blogger award a couple of months ago.

    Here's my post about that & the 7 "little known" facts I shared… http://dressmytruth.blogspot.com/2011/03/my-first
My recent post Going Rogue w- Project 333!

    • Wow! Thanks so much for sharing your facts with me too, Jeanine. It's so fun getting to know each other in this way. =) I *so* love the idea of treating yourself to Frosted Flakes every evening and am seriously considering implementing that habit! Fortunately, Frosted Flakes is something I *am* able to purchase here in the Andes. =)

I also really admire all the roles you play and talents you have. Thanks for being an inspiration, Jeanine. =)

  10. It's so great learning new things about those that we are connect with from across the globe!

SPAM! I laughed at that … I've never tasted spam before and don't have any plans to do so!

    Congrats!

    • I know eh! I loved your idea to create a TLC album too. =) I'm feeling the warmth from the group for sure.

P.S. Spam is the best breakfast food in the world! =) You should try it with eggs and rice! =)

  11. Ryan Biddulph

    Hi Sam,

    Fun stuff!

Impressive pic and list. I see you're a world-traveller; you and my girlfriend would get along well. She taught English in Japan for a year and has also traveled to Europe, Central America and South America. We are moving to Bali in a few weeks; excited for the trip.

I look forward to meeting your blogger buddies. I only know Rowena from this list.

Thanks for sharing more about yourself.

    RB

    • Ryan, thanks so much for dropping by! I was so excited to see your smiling face here! =)

I hope I can meet your girlfriend one day! We would have tons to chat about. I'm also super surprised about your move to Bali. How exotic! I can't wait to hear about it and to learn more about you too. =)

  12. What is left to say – thanks for sharing

    • Thanks so much for stopping by and reading, Roberta. =) I hope you feel like you know me a bit better and I look forward to getting to know you more too. =) Bit by bit!

  13. Hi Samantha,

what a beautiful post and congratulations to the award, well deserved.

Isn't it interesting that I only know two of the bloggers you pass the award on – Rowena and Diana ? It will keep me busy to check the others out, lol.

I second you on what you write about Rowena and Diana !

    Thanks for sharing.

    Take care

My recent post Power Of Gratitude – What Does Your Average Perfect Day Look Like

    • Thanks so much for appreciating this post and for the congratulations, Oliver! I'm finding that a lot of people now feel a bit closer to me and I hope that you do too. =)

After all, you were one of my inspirations as you are always so open in your posts! Looking forward to continually learning more about each other. =) Talk soon, Oliver!

  14. Santy:

Thanks for nominating me!! I will try to do today, but maybe it will be in the friday post… (today is a busy day, tomorrow I record podcast… If not today, friday it will be.)

Amazing photo of you doing acrobatics…! Great!

My recent post Hablemos de Sally Hogshead

    • Haha! I wish you had shared a nickname of yourself too, Gonzalo. =P

I was so happy to share the award with you! I knew you were going to be on my list for sure because you've inspired me since the first day we've met. =)

  15. Sherry Zander

This is THE rockin-est post and what a magnificent honor you've bestowed upon the 10 of us. I LOVE the personal details about you about which I had NO clue. You are not only an amazing professional, you are an amazing and entertaining woman. I hope we get to meet face-to-face some day! I think we would have a fantastic time hanging out –;-)
My recent post Is the Left the NEW Right!

    • I totally agree, Sherry! I would love to hit up your neck of the woods one day. =) I think I would like the small community and slower lifestyle like how it is here in the Andes. =)

Thanks so much for your compliments although I don't feel as amazing as you describe. =P Maybe if I could actually do a handstand without falling over. =)

Can't wait to read your tidbits too, Sherry! =)

  16. Congratulations on your first Bloggers Award Samantha, that's awesome; you are certainly deserving of it! I'm so excited for you! =) I love the conditions and the idea of this award, so kudos goes to whomever it is concerned for coming up with it.

To say the least, I am honored to have made your list. You have truly once again been the giver of the brightest smiles to me via Peru. Thank you for that. You, yourself are truly one of several people who I have been so lucky to make acquaintance with through blogging. I am glad to know that you feel that I inspire you, because to me, you are the inspiration. So to know that I am delivering what you freely return, that's indescribably touching.

I enjoyed reading the interesting facts about you as well, like the other's above have mentioned; I feel like I know you a little bit better. I love the name you're known by, Santy; and I must admit there have been several times I have been tempted to type "Sam". I'm so glad I refrained. I wouldn't have wanted to offend. I have several friends here in the states that are named Samantha, and some of them don't mind Sam, while others do. So that was some good information to know.

Now, for something about me that you may not know. I enjoy singing, have no idea if I am good at it or not. I do know that it makes me happy to do so. So when my partner hears me singing around the house, usually I'm ecstatic about something. I also have a devoted love for interior decorating and designing. :)

    • Thanks so much, Deeone! =) Isn't the award a great idea?! I feel like it's really helping to build a closer community, not only because we share favorite bloggers, but also because we share about ourselves. =)

I truly hope that you get a bit more traffic from the mention because I know you share valuable information and especially because I know how hard you've been working on your blog! =)

Haha! Actually, "Sam" is okay for me too! No worries! =) It just doesn't when I'm home in Vancouver. =P

Wow! I can totally imagine you singing! =) I imagine that you have a powerful voice and that you bring happiness to those around you when you belt out tunes. =) I had no idea about the interior decorating, though. You are truly multitalented, Deeone. =)

      • You're very welcome Santy. =) It is a super idea! And I do plan on tackling what we've mentioned via FB. Thanks again for the consideration.

I hope the traffic picks up as well; but while I have the time to do so, I'm using this time to learn more about the world of blogging. It's been 3 months for me so far, and I'd love to be able to make this out of a career. I know I can do it with a little more researching and possible some training. Would it be OK, if I shoot you some questions from time to time? I don't have any pressing at the moment, but some days they come in like a flood. :D

Well, as you can see, "Santy" took. Haha! But I'm sure all three will come across at some point. ;)

My recent post New Theme- Linen

        • Wow! That would be so amazing, Deeone! I had no idea you had plans to turn blogging into a career. I wish I could do something like that with my blog. Pretty soon, I'll be learning tons from you. =)

In the meantime, you can *absolutely* ask me any question you'd like, any time you'd like to! =) Happy to help in any way I can!

I'm liking these three online names I now go by. =P

  17. Santy, aloha. What a fun post. Congratulations on winning your first, of what will be many, blogging awards. This idea of "paying it forward" brings even more people into the "winner's circle" with you–bloggers and readers alike. To me, I always appreciate the recommendation of bloggers from those I follow.

And, of course, I loved learning the fun facts about you. That fork you took is quite amazing and, I believe, your life will be even more extraordinary because of it.

It has been such a pleasure "getting to know you" through your blog and your comments. This post adds a new dimension to you that I welcome.

Best wishes for a terrific month, Sam. Until next time, aloha. Janet
My recent post FREE For All by Janet Callaway The Natural Networker

    • Haha! It's so funny seeing people call me "Santy" on my blog now. =) I'll have to get used to it!

It's so true that the "pay it forward" idea of the award has brought the community closer. I even feel closer to the people reading these facts about me. =)

Thanks so much for appreciating my decision at that fork in the road. It was one of the hardest decision in my life!

Looking forward to continuing to learn more about each other too, Janet. =)

  18. This was such a wonderful read!!! Thank you so much for sharing! I'm honored that you chose me as one of your 11. :-) . . . . . . When you talked about going to pre-school and not speaking English, I thought of a little girl in my daughter's class. My daughter goes to school in Chinatown and many kids in her school are from immigrant families. They start teaching Mandarin in kindergarten (two seperate classes – one for the native speakers and one for the non-native speakers), but the regular classes are all in English. At the beginning of the school year, one of the little girls only spoke Cantonese. How tough is that? Going into a school that has a large focus on two languages and you speak a third one? She's picked up English really well though and has even become more vibrant . . . She started off very quiet, but lately I've seen her come out of her shell quite a bit!
My recent post A Little Unsolicited Health Advice for Melanoma Monday

    • Haha! …And *I'm* honored that you chose another 11 to continue the trend. =) Hehe! Thanks for joining my boat — I was feeling lonely in it. =P

Wow! That's amazing that your daughter is able to learn Mandarin. In Vancouver, there was only one elementary school that actually had a Mandarin immersion program. I wish I had learned it too. It's such a huge language in business these days.

Double wow! It must have been so hard for that little girl. =( Good to hear that she's able to connect with others better and has become more lively! Communication makes a huge difference! =) Lovely story, Dayle. =)

  19. Hi Samantha,
Great to get to know you better! :) You are a very interesting person who has experienced a lot of interesting things! Congratulations on your award!

    Stacy
My recent post Honoring a Fallen Hero

    • Aw thanks, Stacy! I never thought of myself as an interesting person. =) I've definitely experienced a lot of things though, but really, we all have. =)

Excited to continually get to know each other better. =)

  20. I love this!! Thank you for the list of some other great bloggers!! I love finding more blogs to subscribe to :)

Also I love your ten things about you post. I love reading the "real" stuff about people. It proves to your audience that you are transparent and "real". I am so happy for you that you got this award!! :)

    • Brandy, thank you so much for reaching out and saying "Hello!" =) I'm so excited to get to know you. I already know we'll get along after seeing your double exclamation marks and skimming through your "About" page. =)

It's so true that it's the "real" stuff about people that count and help make true connections. I don't know why I didn't think of doing something like this earlier, at least for my "About" page. I see that you have. You, expert, you. =)

Heading over to "Organic Marketing" right now! =)

  21. Reading "Kreativ Blogger," I can see you join me in enjoying shining a light on worthy compatriots, or, fellow bloggers of note. Let's find more and more ways to support each other, Samantha.

Thank you for the Twitter interaction, and hope you will see my English blog for some rather opinionated posts.
My recent post Teaching Twitter When You Don’t Know It

    • Definitely! I wish I could shine more light on others. It's just sometimes hard to blend with my Peruvian theme. =) I'll be on the lookout for more ways to support each other, for sure, Saul. Thanks for reaching out!

I'll be heading over to your blog right now and just know that I'll find valuable information on it! =)

  22. Hey Sam,

I like the handstand pix! So, you don't speak any of the Philippine dialects? An amazing "10 list" by the way. :)
My recent post Custom Reports in the New Google Analytics

    • Haha! Thanks, Jun! =) I was just about to fall over in the picture. =)

Unfortunately, I don't speak any Filipino dialects anymore, but I can understand Tagalog and a little bit of Visaya because my parents speak it at home. In fact, I can probably understand Chabakano better now because of my Spanish. =P

Thanks so much for stopping by, Jun! =) Heading over to your blog right now. =)

  23. Jen Puckett

Hey Sam! Thanks so much for the award! That is so sweet! You are such an interesting gal! That's so awesome you practice acrobatics, how fun! Wow, neuroscience…impressive! I am so glad you followed your heart because here you are sharing your fabulous posts with us! I am definitely a fan! Funny… because I see you as bubbly and energetic! Must be why we click!

You are so right! Our bubbly-ness must be the reason we click! =)

Thanks so much for your unending encouragement, Jen. =)

  24. Hi Sam,

  25. mattoftheworld

Congratulations Samantha, very well deserved, and great list of blogs, I will certainly check them out.

Little fact, I love to cook, and consider myself a pretty good cook. I Always thought of going back to school to be a chef, but I talked myself out of it. I think I prefer it to be a hobby of mine rather then a job, if it was my job, maybe I wouldn't enjoy it as much.
My recent post What is failure

    • Thanks for the congrats, Matt! =)

Omigoodness! I hardly imagined you as a cook, but I so love the image of you in the kitchen. =) I hope you do develop the skill as your hobby! Do you do fine dining dishes? I miss risotto! =P I don't know what it's like where you are, but in the Andes, it seems like fine dining is pizza and pasta here. =P

Thanks so much for sharing, Matt! Loved this opportunity to get to know you better. =)

  26. Congrats! You are so deserving. It's all happening for you at the moment!
My recent post Things I wont be rushing out to do in a hurry…again

    • Janine, you are *so* right! It does feel like everything is happening at once this past month. I think starting with the TLC has made the biggest difference! =) Thanks so much for being a part of my journey since the beginning, since LinkedIn. =)

  27. karencitadeperu

Great to learn some new & interesting facts about you! Congratulations on the award!

    • Thanks so much, Karen! =) I thought it would be weird and I had always hesitated to share more about myself, but it has all turned out for the better. I feel so much closer to so many people! =)

Thanks for supporting me from the very beginning, Karen. =) Hugs! Can't wait to see you soon!

  28. Congratulations Samantha! Love learning more about you. You have a very interesting life, and your blog posts are amazing!

    • Thanks so much, Sandy! =) What's funny is that I never imagined I'd live an interesting life, but it seems to have turned out as such. =P But when I think about it more, I think we all live interesting lives. =) All that you're involved with as a mom and business owner makes *your* life super interesting too!

In fact, I'm curious what you have up as your latest blog post. Will head over there right now! =)

  29. Thank you for introducing me to great new sites to visit. What interesting things you've shared about you as well. You've traveled more than I thought and it seems you do well with learning languages.

Congrats on your award and one thing you may not have known about me is that I can cook :)

    • You know, I think that *I've* traveled more than I thought as well! I never meant for it to be that way. Opportunities just appeared on my path. =P

I'm not so great with languages though. I lost most of the Japanese I learned the year I was there. =P

Thanks so much for stopping by, Jon, and I look forward to learning more about you too over these upcoming months! =)

  30. Spam is fabulous!!!!!! Pop it in the frying pan and you can do a million things with it. I can't keep it on my shelves here. Wow!!!! Back flips, Handstands and a Master in Neuroscience. I usually have to tell people that I am Morman to get their eye brows to raise.
I so enjoy the time I spend reading your posts. It is a wonderful escape to a place so close yet so far away.

    • Omigosh! Thank you *so* much for relating to my love of spam, Abe! You are the *one* true friend who understands me when it comes to my taste in food. =) Hugs!

Haha! I know you're exaggerating. =) I already know a couple of amazing facts about you and I know that there's tons more to learn about you that would have me raising an eyebrow or two. =)

So great to hear from you again, Abe! =) Talk soon!

  31. Hi, Samantha!

I was thinking that pic is something just online stuff, while Reading I got it was you, well I really love your acrobat moves, and I love them.

I was hoping to learn them from you :)

    • Haha! How cool that I was able to surprise you with that picture, Usman. =) Don't be too impressed though because I was just about to fall over in that picture. =P Maybe one day I'll be able to teach you! =) That would be my dream!

That Frost poem is one of my favorites. It speaks volumes in a short space.
I also get canker sores. Anyone who doesn't get them just doesn't know the fun they are missing out on. Salt and refined sugar are big no-no's when they're bad.
I was awarded this also and it was sweet. Congrats and continued success.

    • Rob, thank you *so* much for connecting with me! =) I absolutely loved your website and am so glad we're in touch. Are you on Triberr yet? I have a group of inspirational bloggers and would love for you to join! =)

Thanks so much for checking out this post too, even though it was one of the older ones. I feel connected already in how we appreciate "The Road Not Taken" and how we suffer with cankers. =P Thanks for the advice on healing, btw! =)

Looking forward to keeping in touch. =)

I remember one time I called your house in the beginning of high school and asked Simone if I could speak to "Sam". You dad got on the phone, and we all got really confused!

  34. I really enjoy getting to know you better., and I love that picture of you doing a handstand. In my former life,I was an extremely impressive"natural" bodybuilder.

    • Aw thanks, Vinny. =) I wish I could say that I can stay up in a handstand! =P

Wow! I can hardly imagine! I hope I get to meet your former toned self through pictures one day, Vinny! =)

  35. No worries! I'll send you an email about it right now! =)

I'm duber patient, Rob! Glad to be part of the learning process with you. =) And thank you so much for your kind words — it's your kind of motivation that really pushes me to live life more loudly! =)

  36. I think your nickname is closer to your true description: Santa ;) for the goodness in your heart!

A fact about me as you requested: my nickname as I was growing up was Tati
