Thanks to my good friend, Hajra Khatoon, I’ve been nominated to participate in the #My7Links Project! Thanks so much, Hajra! I’m excited about the challenge to give you an introduction to and overview of What Little Things! Here goes…
- My Most Beautiful Post: Although Settling In was an early, diary-like post, I consider it beautiful because of the stop-motion video Roy and I put together to commemorate our new beginning.
- My Most Popular Post of All Time: I received such a heartwarming and supportive response from the blogging community with Health or Happiness: Is It Time to Go Home?
- My Most Controversial Post: The State Versus the Church on Sexual Health brought up a classic debate.
- My Most Helpful Post: Many friends seemed to learn tons about themselves through Sally Hogshead’s F Score Test at Have You Fascinated Someone Today?
- A Post Whose Success Surprises Me: The post Lucho Quequezana: Multicultural Musicians Playing Peruvian Tunes garnered the most Likes I’ve ever seen on a post I’ve written because it caught the eye of Lucho Quequezana himself!
- A Post I Feel Didn’t Get The Attention It Deserved: A Halloween House-Hunting Tale is a little long, but I treasure it as my first experience being enveloped in Andean beliefs.
- The Post I Am Most Proud Of: I’m most proud of The Crack of Thunder because it’s the only post that has flowed out of me so naturally.
These are the four bloggers I truly admire whom I nominate and challenge to share their seven links!
Were these your picks too? =)

It's 1:15am in Alaska, 4:15am in Huancayo. I just returned home from work and wanted to relax alittle before bed. I can think of nothing nicer then to ick back and reading my favorite blog (What Little Things). I would have to agree with your picks for the links Samantha and I loved the crack of thunder. Your words brought me there as if I to were experiancing it. Your posts bring much joy to those of us that follow you. Keep up the good work. and always, Thank you!!!!
Aww, you are *the absolute best,* Abe! =) I have to be honest — I've been playing around with the idea of leaving this blog behind and moving on to something that more people can relate to, but I just love how this blog forces me to reflect and this comment you wrote means a lot to me! THANK YOU!!
I remember when I was young and restless looking for something that would catapult me into recognition amoungst my peers. I dabbled here and dabbled there with new ideas to better myself and those that depended on me. Three times I left retail in search of what I thought excited for me. Three times after brief hyadisises for exploration I returned to retail. Morel of my story is "Never forget your beginings" hold fast to them because they are at the root of who you are and where you will go in life. You taught me the meaning of reinventing your self. Most often a person has split passions that make up who they are to complete themself as a person. Your expressions through differant blogs is an expression of who you are not who you want to be. The loss of even one of those expressions could cause an imbalance to your ability to relate to your entire captive audiance.
Just say'n (can't believe I just said , just say'n)
Thanks for sharing that important lesson, Abe! I try to hold true to my “beginnings” in more senses that one: there’s my heritage for example, and also what I feel to be my natural abilities. What an amazing idea to know that different blogs could be “an expression of who I am and now who I want to be.” Thank you so much for helping me clarify what’s important to me. =)
Thanks Sam. Glad to know you, and your picks tell us more.
My recent post Are not you he? (*Updated)
Thank *you,* Stu! =) Love that you enjoyed my picks! =)
Samantha, This challenge is great because it gives me a chance to read posts I hadn't read and reread others. I can understand why Happiness vs. Health would be your most popular post and your most controversial post be that most controversial of subjects, The State vs. the Church. (A similar thing happened in Mexico in the 1970s where the President implemented a campaign "Vamonos Haciendo Menos" or "Let's Make/Become Less." . Surprisingly, women flocked to birth control clinics, often against their husband's and their priest's objections, and birth rate declined from 4.2 to 3.6 to 2.8 in one decade.)
My favorite was/is "The Crack of Thunder." Beautifully descriptive, impressive.
My recent post My Seven Deadly Links
Wow! Thanks so much for taking the time to go through them, Pennie! =) Ooh! I had no idea that a similar phenomenon happened in Mexico re: sexual health. Sounds like it had positive results!
Thanks for your comments and for your unending support, friend! =)
Looking forward to checking out these posts, Sam!!

Thanks!

Well hey Samantha,
My oh my, thanks for thinking of me too. Wow, I'll have to come up with something myself so thank you for including me. Okay, will have to get my thinking cap on now. Sure hope there isn't a deadline for this or I'm in trouble!
Will have to go back and read a few of the posts that you mentioned that I didn't read. That's only because we hadn't met yet so there…
As always, enjoy your shares and thanks again for the shout out. Diana and I better get to work!

I love your blog, I'm always looking for updates. Your post are very meaningful and eye-catching. You might find me weird, but I actually love your controversial posts. Post that deviate from culture and commonality and how people deal with that. I find this very inspirational, bizarre, and relatable.
Keep up the good work. I can't wait to the day that I open up a newspaper and see "what little things" on the front page. I be telling my friends "I know this girl" hahahhah!!
what can I say I'm a show off
My recent post Summer love in California
Aww, I'm so glad we met, Hilda, and it makes me soo, SOO happy to hear your positive feedback! =) Isn't it funny how random meetings can turn into true friendships? =)
I guess being Asian American makes culture naturally important to us. I know that I've struggled a lot being in between the two cultures, which is why I'm able to relate to so many of your thoughts too!
Haha! =) You're the best, Hilda! Thank you SOO much for your encouragement, friend!! =)
What a lovely way to frame one's posts to be highlighted Sam! There are many posts there I have not yet read but right now I'm off to read "The Crack of Thunder", the title alone intrigues me!
